There currently are quite a lot of dedicated /shared game server providers; many of them are a fly-by-night operations, charging 50$ for a 32 player BF1942 (not realistic since it requires a whole dedicated server), then closing their doors when pings start shooting through the roof / server constantly crashes.

Those of you who have been shopping for a server know that; so which one would YOU choose? Certainly, the closer to home the better, but general quality does matter, too. Share your experience... gdn.net? barry's?

In Europe I would choose game-hosting.com as they offer multiple locations.

here are 2 game server hosters:

1. http://www.gameservers.com
2. http://hosting.moaclan.com/

the 2nd hoster provides servers only for mohaa, cod and bf: vietnam and has a nice offer too!

here is a quote, for the offer, from their site:
"All of our featured game servers now come with FREE webhosting in addition to a FREE TeamSpeak or Ventrilo Server."

www.skompton.com

datacenters are in new jersey. On a 0C-192 with a 0C-48 backbone. Its $4.00 a slot for server rentals. We never put more than the cpu can handle on our boxes this way we can optimize the performance and create a no-lagg enviroment.

Or we can set you up with your own box.

info:
Intel Pentium-4 Northwood 2.8 Ghz
Intel Motherboard
1024 Megabytes of DDR333 RAM
Western Digital 80 GB Hard Drive
Single Fast Ethernet NIC
100 Mb/s Port

Default Options
100mb/s Switch Port
1000 GB of Transfer
8 IP Addresses

That would be a one time 99 dollar set up fee and $200.00 a month.
you get complete root ssh access.

test ip:66.246.72.172:27017
