Title: Recommend a dedicated provider Post by: piramida on October 20, 2003, 09:06:06 PM There currently are quite a lot of dedicated /shared game server providers; many of them are a fly-by-night operations, charging 50$ for a 32 player BF1942 (not realistic since it requires a whole dedicated server), then closing their doors when pings start shooting through the roof / server constantly crashes.
Those of you who have been shopping for a server know that; so which one would YOU choose? Certainly, the closer to home the better, but general quality does matter, too. Share your experience... gdn.net? barry's? Or we can set you up with your own box. info: Intel Pentium-4 Northwood 2.8 Ghz Intel Motherboard 1024 Megabytes of DDR333 RAM Western Digital 80 GB Hard Drive Single Fast Ethernet NIC 100 Mb/s Port Default Options 100mb/s Switch Port 1000 GB of Transfer 8 IP Addresses That would be a one time 99 dollar set up fee and $200.00 a month. you get complete root ssh access. test ip:66.246.72.172:27017 Title: Recommend a dedicated provider Post by: gaylord on July 20, 2004, 04:21:18 PM i prefer lowping.de (http://www.lowping.de)
